Trade Assistant

Location: Kemps Creek, Sydney, NSW
Position: Full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm. Occasional Saturday work may be required.

About the Role

Due to exciting growth, we are seeking an experienced Trade Assistant to join our site-based team for the Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre (AWRC) project – a significant initiative by Sydney Water, located in Kemps Creek, Western Sydney. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Hand and power tools operations.
• Installation of mechanical plant, piping and structural steel.
• Spotting WAH and confined space tasks.
• Maintain clean and organised work areas.
• Willing to continuously assist tradesman with their duties.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Previous experience on major construction sites.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical installation and familiarity with tools and equipment.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, drilling, and grinding.
• Working at Heights (WAH) and Confined Space certifications (required).
• EWP and Telehandler certifications (preferred but not essential).
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
