Diamantina 242-Megawatt Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Station

Project Details

The client engaged Pructon to undertake steel fabrication, installation, commissioning and surface treatment of the $550m plant.

We utilised our Mount Isa workshop to fabricate steelwork for the project. Pructon undertook site surface treatment and painting of spools.

We fabricated the secondary structural steelwork. This included preparing fabrication drawings, surface treatment, workshop fabrication, NDT and installation. Surface treatment included the preparation of all surfaces. Pructon used a three-coat paint system to coat the steel.

We undertook super duplex and carbon steel piping modifications. This included fabrication, installation, as-built drawings and NDT. NATA-certified hydro testing was completed along with all documentation with a third-party inspection. Pructon prepared as-built drawings and the project’s full manufacturing data report (MDR).

Our personnel performed the assigned commissioning activities for the site. This included the commissioning of pumps and gas turbines and assistance with steam blow and line flushing.
