Diamantina Gas Fired Power Station Mechanical Works
The Diamantina Power Station is a power generation facility that provides the Mount Isa region with on-demand natural gas-fired electricity. It provides 242MW combined cycle gas turbine power generation.
The Client engaged Pructon to undertake steel fabrication, installation, commissioning and surface treatment of the plant. We utilised our Mount ISA workshops to fabricate steelwork for the project. Site surface treatment and painting of spools were undertaken by Pructon.
We fabricated the secondary structural steelwork. This included the preparation of fabrication drawings, surface treatment, workshop fabrication, NDT and installation. Surface treatment included the preparation of all surfaces. A three coat paint system was used by Pructon to coat the steel.
We undertook super duplex and carbon steel piping modifications. This included fabrication, installation, as-built drawings and NDT. NATA certified hydrotesting was completed along with all documentation with third party inspection. Pructon prepared as-built drawings and the full manufacturing data report (MDR) for the project.
Our personnel performed the assigned commissioning activities for the site. This included the commissioning of pumps, gas turbines and assistance with steam blow and line flushing.
