Overview

Pructon undertook the demolition of the existing Gove Surf Club building, originally constructed in 1971, and managed the construction of a new facility that better met the club's needs.

Scope of Work

• Demolition and Asbestos Removal: Safely demolished the old building and conducted asbestos removal, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Fabrication of Structural Steel: Completed the fabrication of structural steel work at Pructon's Darwin workshop, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Civil and Concrete Works: Executed comprehensive civil works and poured concrete for the new facility’s foundation and structural requirements.
• Plumbing and Electrical Installation: Managed plumbing and electrical installations through the Pructon Gove team, ensuring all systems were up to code and functioning properly.
• Bar and Kitchen Installation: Designed and installed a new bar and kitchen, complete with modern appliances to enhance club amenities.
• Cool Room Installation: Installed a large cool room behind the bar area to support food and beverage operations.
• Outdoor Kitchen and Café Area: Developed an outdoor still kitchen and café area, expanding the facility’s functionality for members and guests.
• Painting: Completed external and internal painting of the new building and existing structures, ensuring a fresh and inviting appearance.
