Quakers Hill WWTP Upgrade Mechanical

Project Details

Sydney Water engaged Pructon to undertake the mechanical installation of all equipment associated with the $200m Wastewater Treatment Plants at Quakers Hill in Sydney.

This involved the installation of mechanical equipment such as pipework, valves and pumps. With a crew of over fifty-five personnel, Pructon managed and delivered the installation of all mechanical equipment associated with the plant through to the commissioning phase of the project.

Scope of Work

  • Offsite fabrication of piping and structural
  • Installation of piping and structural steel
  • Inlet works, installation of all client-supplied items, screens, chloride dosing, actuator, bypass screen, baffles, vortex inlet and outlet, motors, pumps and piping, feed launder
  • Inlet apron, installation of all client-supplied items, pipework, motors, valves and pumps, access platforms, wash press, grit classifier, grit bins, backup water supply and main header
  • Mechanical primaries, penstocks and actuators, pipework, pumps, valves and motors, Polymer dosing, screens & de gritted sewage feed channels, sludge tanks
  • Polymer dosing, polymer pump skid installation, Upvc pipework, platforms, safety showers, double containment piping, FRP floor grating
  • Hydrotesting of all underground piping.& above-ground piping
  • Commissioning
